Ice Castles

Ice Castles have long been associated with romance and happy endings thanks to fairytales and Disney. We’re lucky to have our very own castle in North Woodstock! Every winter, a life-sized fortress made of ice and thousands of color lights is built for people near and far to enjoy. Bundle up with your sweetheart and enjoy the childlike wonder of what thousands of gallons of water can transform with a little help from Mother Nature.

Slide down the epic ice slide or walk through the mystic forest, lit by colorful lights. If you’re thinking about dropping down on one knee and asking one of the most important questions of your life, the Ice Castles is the perfect place. There’s even a private Arctic Alcove, and we recommend booking the romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride afterward for the perfect fairytale happy ending. New Hampshire’s award-winning Ice Castle tickets sell out fast, so it’s best to buy ahead of time online.

Mountaintop Wedding and Vow Renewals

Whether it’s your first wedding or vow renewal with your honey, celebrate your nuptials on the granite peaks of the White Mountains! Mike Cherim of Redline Guiding is a Justice of the Peace in the State of New Hampshire and has conducted hundreds of weddings and vow renewals across the region. Choose your favorite peak, and Mike will help you with the rest. We highly recommend the summit of Loon Mountain, Artist’s Bluff, or Lonesome Lake for a picturesque moment that you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Sleigh Rides and Dog Sledding

Take in the natural beauty of the White Mountains with a winter sleigh ride at Franconia Notch Stables. The traditional one-horse sleigh surrounded by the mountains will make the perfect background for your Instagram-worthy engagement photos. Cozy up with wool Pendleton blankets and toast with a glass of bubbly champagne!

For a unique adventure in the White Mountains, bundle up and experience the adrenaline of dog sledding with Valley Snow Dogz. The one-hour Sugar Sweet sled tour is a classic tour through the woods and fields while being pulled by a team of family-raised huskies. After the tour, you can enjoy lots of cuddles and kisses from the lovable pups. It’ll be an experience to remember!

Beer & Wine Tasting

Celebrate your love with your favorite beverages. RiverWalk Resort is home to one of New Hampshire’s best wineries, Seven Birches Winery. Do you know we have grapevines in our backyard? Enjoy a flight of wine in the Winery Tasting Room or head next door to the Atrium Wine Bar and Rhythm Cider for even more options.

For beer lovers, there are several breweries to try in the surrounding area. One Love Brewery is famous for the German and European-style brews and is located just across the parking lot from RiverWalk Resort. Woodstock Inn Brewery, one of New Hampshire’s first microbreweries, is just down the street in North Woodstock and has an extensive beer menu. Head a little further North, and you’ll find Iron Furnace Brewing in Franconia, Schilling Beer Co in Littleton, and Rek’ lis Brewing Company in Bethlehem.
