Engagement and collaboration. These two elements help make companies successful yet are sometimes difficult to foster.
Did you know that Gallup has linked employee engagement to stronger customer loyalty/engagement, increased profitability, improved productivity, lower turnover, fewer safety incidents, less theft, decreased absenteeism, a decline in patient safety incidents, limited defects, better well being and superior organizational participation numbers? Were you also aware that Deloitte has stated that when people collaborate, “research suggests that they work 15% faster, 73% do better work; 60% are more innovative; and 56% feel more satisfied”?
So how can you ensure that your team is enjoying all of these benefits? One way is to host regular team-building events. Here are five reasons why we feel you should host your next one here at RiverWalk.
The White Mountains region is distinctly lacking in event space, which is why RiverWalk has decided to solve the problem. As we continue working to expand extraordinary, we are adding a unique space called The Grand Ballroom opening in early summer 2024 with all of the following:
It’s undeniable. Our area is naturally beautiful. The backdrop becomes a destination in and of itself! From our resort, your event guests can view the mountains perfectly and you can also go out and experience them more directly.
We are lucky to have Alpine Adventures in our backyard, which offers both ziplining and off-road tours as well as Thrillsville, all of which would be perfect for team bonding. Your team could also take a more relaxing outdoor walk along the Pemigewasset River or could go to nearby Echo Lake to breathe in some calm and come together as a group. Another prime option would be to take advantage of some of Loon’s activities like mountaintop yoga, disc golf, hiking or mountain biking.
The nearby possibilities are endless!
It’s not always possible to allow family members to come along on a work retreat, but RiverWalk provides the perfect excuse to include them.
While your employees may need to participate in daytime bonding events, their families can enjoy our in-resort arcade, our 167,000-gallon lagoon swimming pool, the 12-person, half-moon hot tub, and of course, all of the local attractions like Whale’s Tale Waterpark, Clark’s Bears, the Flume Gorge, the Mount Washington Cog Railway, Santa’s Village, Storyland, local museums and Jean’s Playhouse.
If your team is craving relaxation, they’ll be free to indulge in some fabulous self-care at the close of their day. Some options include a massage at Solstice North Day Spa, a workout while staring at the Whites, a wine tasting at Seven Birches Winery or a great meal at La Vista. Honestly, we recommend doing all four.
When coordinating a team-building event a crucial part of the planning process is finding one location that can house a lot of people. RiverWalk has all kinds of accommodations for varied needs starting with generous studios and going all the way up to three-bedroom suites that accommodate up to 12 people and have private balconies with mountain views and grand kitchens. Your guests are going to want to move in.
